Why I Chose Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy

Paula Petrone

Founder & CEO | Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist

My background in dentistry led me to ask an important question: How do breathing, tongue function, swallowing, and oral function influence the way we live every day?

Throughout my professional journey, I discovered that many challenges related to breathing, sleep, tongue posture, chewing, and jaw function can be connected to our orofacial functional patterns.

That’s when I discovered Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy as a specialized way to support my patients through a functional and personalized approach.

Today, my purpose is to help children and adults better understand how their bodies function and develop healthier orofacial patterns through education, targeted exercises, and compassionate guidance.

Every patient is different. That’s why every plan should be, too.

At OMT of New York, we work together to understand your needs, establish clear goals, and make you an active part of your therapeutic journey.
